My Background
Personal Profile
My path to midwifery began shortly after the birth of my first baby in 2005. After a patiently supported pregnancy and labor with a Certified Professional Midwife, I felt a surprisingly powerful draw to the idea of becoming a midwife myself. I attended doula training, enrolled in midwifery school, and started attending births as a doula just a few months later in late 2005.
I had 2 more children in 2007 and 2010. These two pregnancies were also under the care of midwives - both Certified Nurse Midwives and Certified Professional Midwives, one planned in the hospital and the other planned at home.
I began the advanced portion of midwifery school in 2010 and then my midwifery apprenticeship in 2011, graduating in 2014. I've spent time attending births in a variety of roles in home, hospital and birth center settings. It is truly my life's work. I'd even go as far as to say it's my calling as it's hard to imagine doing anything else.

As a midwife, it is my passion to provide safe, respectful, evidenced-based care. I am so grateful for the opportunity to provide in-depth support and individualized midwifery care to pregnant people and their families here in Reno. I sincerely look forward to meeting and working with you and your family.
