What is Placenta Encapsulation?
Placenta encapsulation is the practice of preparing capsules of dehydrated and ground placenta for consumption. These capsules are taken by the birthing parent and are believed to provide numerous health benefits.
Many birthing parents who consume their encapsulated placenta have reported:
reduced incidence & severity of postpartum depression
fewer and/or less intense mood swings
increased milk supply
more rapid recovery
reduced bleeding time
higher iron/hemoglobin levels
less postpartum hair loss
I am trained by an internationally known organization, Placenta Benefits Info, LLC (PBI) which trains, supports, and supplies their specialists in a way that promotes uniformity, consistency, professionalism and above all, safety. PBI trains in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method of preparation which steams the placenta to a minimum internal temperature of 160F degrees, the temperature necessary to kill bacteria, before dehydrating. My process is a little different than TCM in order to ensure and maintain an exact temperature at 170F degrees. Please contact me for details if strictly TCM prep is important to you.
